Trip to the ice rink

Trip to the ice rink

Thanks to the support of the Friends' Association, which financed the bus trips, all classes at Hundertwasser School were able to plan and carry out a trip to the ice rink in Versmold after the Christmas holidays.

On two different days, the dragons and lions as well as the wolves and foxes started off warmly wrapped up. For some children, it was a completely new experience to "stumble" or glide over the ice on runners. Fortunately, the plastic ice bears provided support so that the children could get used to the new feeling. But after a few cautious rounds, their courage and confidence grew and they began to enjoy the joint activity more and more. The cheerful atmosphere was supported by music and lighting provided by the ice rink organisers. After breakfast and hot tea to warm up, it was unfortunately time to leave for GT all too soon. On the bus afterwards, many children expressed the wish for a repeat next winter. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the sponsoring organisation once again and will ask them again in a year's time :-)...
